PTP Nonpetikemas Throughput Rises 17.85% Through July

PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas), subsidiary of Indonesia’s Pelindo Group, recorded a 17.85% year-on-year increase in throughput in the first seven months of 2026, exceeding its target for the period.

Throughput reached 31.39 million tons/m³ from January through July, or 108.54% of the company’s target, compared with 26.64 million tons/m³ in the same period last year.

Growth was driven by four main cargo categories: dry bulk, which accounted for 14.51 million tons/m³; general cargo at 7.75 million tons/m³; liquid bulk at 7.54 million tons/m³; and bagged cargo at 1.58 million tons.

“The achievements recorded up to July 2026 serve as a driving force for us to maintain this growth momentum,” President Director Indra Hidayat Sani said.

“PTP Nonpetikemas continues to optimize operations, strengthen collaboration with service users and stakeholders, and ensure terminal services become increasingly effective, safe, and integrated,” he added.

Several branches recorded throughput above their respective targets.

Pontianak and Kijing handled about 3.85 million tons/m³, equivalent to 163.13% of their target. Panjang recorded about 3.55 million tons/m³, or 119.96% of target.

Tanjung Priok handled about 10.43 million tons/m³, reaching 112.89% of target as of July. Cirebon recorded about 2.45 million tons/m³, or 107.68% of target, while Teluk Bayur handled 3.51 million tons/m³, reaching 104.44%.

Pangkal Balam recorded about 1.02 million tons/m³, equivalent to 103.43% of its target.

PTP Nonpetikemas said it was also focusing on productivity improvements, optimization of loading and unloading equipment, and operational governance across its branches.

The company said the measures were intended to improve service quality and strengthen the competitiveness of its Nonpetikemas terminal operations.

Indra said the company’s focus was not solely on increasing cargo volumes but also on improving the value delivered to customers and supporting the national logistics chain.

“The transformation we are implementing must deliver tangible impacts on service speed and quality, thereby providing added value to service users and ensuring sustainability,” he said.

As part of Pelindo’s broader transformation, PTP Nonpetikemas operates as a multipurpose terminal operator providing integrated services. It plans to maintain its growth through the end of 2026 by improving productivity, developing its business, increasing operational efficiency and applying health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) standards.
