Tariffs for freight trucks and logistics at the Tanjung Priok port in Jakarta increased by an average of 21 to 25%. At the same time, at Belawan Port, Medan, it rose by 25 to 30 percent, following the increase in the price of subsidized fuel oil (BBM) of the type of diesel.
This refers to the announcement letter from the DPD Aptrindo DKI Jakarta issued on September 5, 2022, signed by the Chairman of APTRINDO DKI Soedirman and Secretary Fathul Anas, regarding the adjustment of freight rates in the DKI Jakarta area, including at Tanjung Priok Port.
Meanwhile, the increase in truck rates at the Belawan port refers to the Belawan Port Special Transport Organda DPC Notice (ANGSUSPEL) signed by Chairman Ery Salim and Secretary H.A.Jumala Wijaya on September 5, 2022.
Tariffs for transporting goods and logistics are unavoidable following the increase in the price of subsidized diesel fuel, which the government has set on Saturday (3/9/2022).
According to Gemilang Tarigan, DPP Chairman of the Indonesian Truck Entrepreneurs Association (APTRINDO), the increase in subsidized diesel fuel will automatically affect trucking operational costs.
“The determination of the increase in truck tariffs has also been through discussions with the tariff team to calculate the increase in trucking rates comprehensively,” said Gemilang.
As reported, President Joko Widodo has announced an increase in the price of fuel oil (BBM), starting from Pertalite (RON 90), Diesel, and Pertamax (RON 95). The latest prices for subsidized and non-subsidized fuels will take effect on Saturday (3/9/2022) at 14.30.
“Currently, the government is making decisions in a difficult situation. This is the government’s last option, which is to divert fuel subsidies so that the prices of several types of fuel will be adjusted,” President Jokowi said at a press conference at the Merdeka Palace Saturday.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif further described the latest fuel price adjustments: the Pertalite price from IDR 7,650 per liter to IDR 10,000 per liter. The cost of subsidized Diesel from IDR 5,150 per liter to IDR 6,800 per liter, and the price of Pertamax from IDR 12,500 to IDR 14,500 per liter.
