PT Temas Tbk (TMAS), an issuer providing marine transportation services and supporting services, will encourage increased productivity and transportation volume in 2022 in line with investments made in the fourth quarter of 2021.

This is a very significant net profit growth,” said Faty Khusumo, President Director of TEMAS, at the Public Expose after the Annual GMS and Extraordinary GMS at PT TEMAS Tbk Head Office Jakarta on Thursday (June 19, 2022).
He stated that the company’s 2021 net profit was supported by an increase in TEMAS’ revenue by 26.22% to IDR 3.37 trillion compared to IDR 2.67 trillion in 2020 and IDR 2.51 trillion in 2019.

The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) for the 2021 Fiscal Year and the Extraordinary GMS (EGMS) was attended by the Board of Commissioners of PT Temas Tbk, Independent Commissioners- Alfred Natsir and Theo Lekatompessy. At the AGM, the shareholders decided to accept the results of the Board of Directors’ performance report for the 2021 financial year and approve the company’s development plan for 2022.
TEMAS Finance Director, Ganny Zheng, said the company in 2021 recorded an increase in net profit of more than ten times. This achievement is because the management has taken various strategic steps to boost the company’s profit growth, one of which is the addition of 11 ships so that the current carrying capacity of the company’s fleet becomes 24,673 TEUs or 373,874 DWT.
“In addition, we acquired the depot business carried out by the company’s subsidiary, namely PT Temas Depo, to PT Depo Lautan Nusantara, which is engaged in container depot management services. We also formed a joint venture with OOCL Logistics (HongKong) Limited in June 2021 under the name PT Bunga Plum Logistik, as well as the formation of a new shipping company to enter international services for heavy-lift and bulk goods,” said Zheng.
Logistics Digitization
Faty Khusumo added that the company would continue diversifying its subsidiaries, digitizing logistics, and developing KlikTemas.
“It is a system developed for the digitization process so that later customers are expected to make it easier for the process of booking cargo to the process of picking up cargo at the port of destination,” he said.
As of March 2022, TEMAS posted revenue of IDR 1.17 trillion, or a growing 37.48% compared to the same period in 2021.
Looking at the amount of revenue in March 2022, TEMAS has reached around 33.33% of the total revenue received in 2021. Therefore, management is very confident that the achievement of TEMAS’s performance in 2022 can match or even exceed its performance in 2021.
