TTL President Director David Sirait Is Crowned as the ‘CEO of the Year’

President Director of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) David Pandapotan Sirait is crowned as the as the ‘CEO of the Year’ from the prestigious national event of the 2nd Bisnis Indonesia Logistics Award 2023. David wins this award as the best executive officer in leading a strategic national logistics company capable of spurring efficiency and increasing economic contribution.

The award was directly delivered by Bisnis Indonesia President Director Lulu Terianto on Tuesday, November 28.

“Thank to Bisnis Indonesia. This award is a source of pride for me and Teluk Lamong Terminal team as well. This is a very meaningful gift for TTL’s 10th anniversary,” David said in his remark speech for the award ceremony.

This year, he said, TTL was trusted to handle 9 new services of intra-Asia, Indian subcontinent, Middle East and African routes. “This proves any TTL efforts for efficiency have given benefits, not only to TTL itself, but also to customers and port users. There must be additional income and value creations from this service efficiency,” he noted.

Meanwhile, in her remark speech, Lulu Terianto acknowledged that the logistics sector was very important to drive the economy. However, the business also faced big challenges from intense competition. It is hoped that all relevant parties can create a conducive environment for the growth of the logistics sector.

As a component of the logistics chain, TTL will work to reduce logistics costs for the smooth flow of goods through digital transformation and service innovation, thus supporting a productivity increase. The efforts have shown the results, proven by the increasing throughput until third quarter this year (Q3 2023).

According to TTL data, until Q3 this year, TTL container throughput reached 610,600 TEUs, increasing from 595,304 TEUs in the same period last year (until Q3 2022). Its dry bulk also increased significantly, to 2,731,860, from 2,557,828 tons in the same period in 2022. This achievement has supported another award from National Importers Association of Indonesia (GINSI) the 2nd Best Port  Business Player.
