PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (PJM), a subsidiary of state-owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), has partnered with PT Maritel Anugerah Sarana Lautan (MASL) to provide vessel pilotage and towage services at PT Indexim Coalindo’s coal port in East Kalimantan.
The companies signed an agreement in Jakarta on Wednesday to jointly provide the services, which are intended to support vessel movements and port operations in the Sangkulirang area.
Under the agreement, PJM and MASL will work together to meet Indexim Coalindo’s requirements for vessel pilotage and towage, with a focus on safety, service reliability and compliance with applicable regulations.
“Pelindo, through its subsidiary PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim, is ready to support vessel pilotage and towage services for PT Indexim Coalindo, while prioritizing safety, reliability and compliance in every service provided,” said Farid Padang, Commercial Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero).
The agreement is part of PJM’s efforts to expand its marine services business and strengthen cooperation with strategic partners, the company said.
The partnership is also expected to support vessel movements, logistics flows and maritime connectivity in the region.
The signing ceremony was attended by Farid Padang; Arief Hermawan, President Director of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim; Suhendra Ratuprawiranegara, Commercial Director of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim; and Njudarsono Yusetijo, Director of PT Maritel Anugerah Sarana Lautan.
PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (PJM) is a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), established on Oct. 1, 2021, following the integration of Indonesia’s state-owned port operators.
PJM operates across five business areas: marine services, port equipment services, shipyard services, dredging and port utility services.
The company operates across Indonesia and provides maritime and port-related services to domestic and international partners.
PJM manages eight subsidiaries: PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk.
