Nusantara Pelabuhan Handal Tbk (PORT) or NPH, a company that focuses on the port operator business and the supply and maintenance of port equipment, is preparing to face a surge in container loading and unloading activities at ports ahead of Christmas and New Year or Nataru.
NPH President Director Paul Krisnadi said PORT focuses on optimizing its performance so that port operational activities at the end of the year do not experience problems.
“We continue to optimize the company’s performance so that port operational activities at the end of the year do not experience problems. The surge in loading and unloading of goods before Christmas and New Year usually occurs at the end of every year, and we have anticipated this by increasing the effectiveness of our tools and human resources,” said Paul Krisnadi, quoted in his press statement on Tuesday (11/23/2021).
According to him, reflecting on previous years, loading and unloading activities at the dock managed by PORT continue to increase. The company remains optimistic that it can continue to maintain good performance and ensure the smooth flow of goods until the end of the year.
Since 2004, through its subsidiary PT Mustika Alam Lestari (MAL), PORT has managed the T300 dock at Tanjung Priok Port with a productivity of 65 boxes per ship operating hour.
“Another PORT subsidiary, PT PBM Adipurusa, recorded a 2-fold increase in volume in the five years since being operated by PORT. This significant increase resulted from the same wharf and field with significantly increased productivity,” said Paul.
Until the third quarter of 2021, PORT recorded revenue of Rp.994.01 billion, an increase of 1 percent compared to the same period last year.
PORT has also set service standards in every work process to increase customer satisfaction with CTAR, namely Fast, Orderly, Safe, Neat, and Friendly.
