DP World Expands Contract Logistics Network in Thailand

New Bang Na centre supports high-value supply chains, linking Greater Bangkok with Laem Chabang Port and manufacturing hubs across Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor

DP World has opened a 10,000-square-metre contract logistics distribution centre in Bang Na, expanding its logistics capacity in Thailand and serving customers in manufacturing and consumer sectors.

The facility, located in an industrial park in Bang Na, is positioned to connect Greater Bangkok with Laem Chabang Port and manufacturing centres in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).

The centre provides storage and distribution services for high-value and time-sensitive goods, including consumer electronics, semiconductors and automotive cargo. It operates around the clock, DP World said.

“Thailand sits at the heart of some of Asia Pacific’s most important manufacturing and distribution networks,” Jeanie Tan, chief commercial officer for logistics in Asia Pacific at DP World, said.

The investment in Bang Na provides customers with additional logistics capacity while connecting the facility to DP World’s wider freight and logistics network, Tan said.

The opening is part of DP World’s expansion of its contract logistics operations across Asia Pacific, following investments in Singapore and Johor, Malaysia.

DP World said it plans to open additional facilities in Kuala Lumpur and the Philippines later this year, expanding its logistics network across manufacturing and consumer markets in Southeast Asia.
