State-owned port operator Pelindo Multi Terminal handled 59.59 million tons in first half of 2026, citing stronger commodity volumes and operations performance
PT Pelindo Multi Terminal, a subsidiary of state-owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo), recorded a 10.85% increase in throughput in the first half of 2026, reaching 59.59 million tons, the company said on Wednesday.
The increase was driven by higher loading and unloading activity across several commodity segments, as well as improvements in terminal operations, Senior Vice President of Corporate Secretariat Finan Syaifullah said in a statement.
General and bag cargo volumes rose 6.11% to 14.56 million tons from 13.72 million tons in the same period last year.
Liquid bulk cargo increased 7.97% to 14.41 million tons from 13.34 million tons, while dry bulk volumes rose 14.74% to 30.63 million tons from 26.69 million tons.
Gas commodity flows increased 4.49% to 8.12 million MMBTU from 7.77 million MMBTU a year earlier.
“The continued growth in operational performance is part of strengthening the company’s business fundamentals in supporting the smooth flow of logistics and national trade activities,” Finan said.
He said the company was continuing to improve its operations through changes to business processes, human resources, technology, equipment and infrastructure, while strengthening health, safety, security and environmental standards.
“Pelindo Multi Terminal remains committed to maintaining the reliability of terminal operations through continuous innovation and transformation,” Finan said. The company said the performance was in line with the strategic agenda of Danantara Indonesia, which aims to strengthen service consistency and operational reliability at state-owned enterprises to support logistics distribution and national trade.
