Pelindo IT System Has Fully Recovered, Backed to Normal

The Pelindo IT system has fully recovered and returned to normal after more than three days of getting into trouble. It reported that the IT system was disrupted late last week (Friday, September 1), forcing the terminals at Indonesia’s biggest port, Tanjung Priok, to provide some services manually.

However, Pelindo explained that the operation usually runs during the days as terminal operators provide manual service. Beginning today, Monday, September 4, the operational system and customer service portal, including the billing system, have been restored and functioning.

“Now, the terminal service system has returned to normal. This has been overcome in stages since Saturday, September 2, 2023. Over the past weekend, we have ensured that operational activities and services continue to run in all of our terminals,” Ali Mulyono, Pelindo Corporate Secretary, said in a press statement today, Monday, September 4.

Ali affirmed that the system was disturbed at the end of last week but explained that all services ran through a combination of manual and automatic systems.

He said that Pelindo’s IT team was conducting an investigation to find the cause of this disturbance so that similar problems could be avoided in the future.

“We apologize for the inconvenience experienced and appreciate the support from all Service users and stakeholders,” said Ali.
