Group Concorde has officially opened its Indonesia office as the India-headquartered aviation services company expands its global airline representation network and targets growing opportunities in the country’s air cargo market, its Asia-Pacific vice president Praveen Narayanan said on Tuesday.
“We see Indonesia as a very potential market. That is why we expand to this country as the economy is growing,” Praveen told The Shipping Gazette on the sideline of the official opening of the company’s Indonesia operation on Tuesday (September 1, 2026).
The Indonesia launch coincides with Vietjet Air Cargo selecting Group Concorde to represent its commercial interests in the country. The agreement, which began in August, will see Group Concorde drive cargo sales, customer engagement and market development for the Vietnamese carrier in Indonesia.
Praveen said Indonesia’s growing economy, expanding trade activity and importance as a regional logistics market made it an increasingly attractive destination for airlines seeking to develop their cargo business.

“This appointment reflects the trust Vietjet Air Cargo has placed in Group Concorde,” Praveen said. “Our team in Indonesia is committed to delivering dedicated service, building stronger connections with our customers and identifying new opportunities for sustainable cargo growth.”
Vietjet Air Cargo customers in Indonesia will gain access to cargo capacity and connectivity through Vietnam to destinations across Asia-Pacific and international markets.
For Group Concorde, the opening of its own Indonesia office follows about two years of business activity in the country through partnership.

Glen Lisapaly, country manager of Group Concorde Indonesia, said the establishment of a direct operation marked an important step in the company’s development in the market.
“Group Concorde has actually been doing business in Indonesia for two years, but we run under partnership with our other agents. And now, here we are. Group Concorde opens in Indonesia,” Glen said.
Before securing the Vietjet Air Cargo mandate, Group Concorde had also become a General Sales agent for IAG Cargo since 2024.
The Indonesia office is part of Group Concorde’s broader international expansion across Asia-Pacific, South Asia and the Middle East. The company operates through a network of locally staffed offices, supported by regional management and its headquarters in Delhi NCR, India.
Founded in 1985, Group Concorde has more than four decades of experience in aviation and provides passenger and cargo general sales and service agent (GSSA) solutions to airlines. Its services combine local market expertise with digital systems and globally aligned service standards.
The company has continued to expand its international footprint through new airline representation agreements. In June, Group Concorde announced that it had been appointed cargo sales agent for My Freighter across the United Arab Emirates, the Philippines, Cambodia and Myanmar.

Praveen said the expansion reflected Group Concorde’s strategy of building a connected international platform that enables airlines to enter and grow in individual markets while benefiting from its wider network.
“We want to continue expanding our presence globally while strengthening our capabilities in each local market,” he said. “Indonesia is an important part of that strategy, and we see significant opportunities ahead.”
Glen said the company’s combination of local knowledge and international reach would help it attract more airline partners to Indonesia.
“We expect more airlines to cooperate with Group Concorde because we have a worldwide network and the capability to support airlines locally while connecting them to opportunities across international markets,” he said.
